Give Books Holiday Catalog

Plan a Give Books guide campaign to inspire your community to support your store over the holiday shopping season!

Give Books guides, generally known as holiday catalogs, are available at no cost to PNBA member stores. If you make insertion arrangements with your local paper, we'll ship your catalogs to them for free!

And it gets better—send us a copy of your insertion invoice and we'll reimburse your distribution costs up to 50%, with a cap of 5¢ per catalog. All you need to do to claim your reimbursement is to provide copies of your insertion invoices by the Jan. 13 deadline. Documentation provided past the deadline but prior to March 1 will result in a stipend max of 4¢.

The Give Books guide is produced to help you maximize sales during the holiday season—never more important than this year. So put your stamp on this nationally supported and regionally nuanced bookselling campaign and put it to work for your store.

For orders of 5,000 or greater, we'll brand your catalogs with your store logo, information, coupons and deals—you decide. This year, we are strongly encouraging stores to verify that online sales options are just as prominent as the store address, particularly on your large back imprint. For 2020, PNBA will update your imprint file with this critical information at no charge to you. Should you require a total reboot, we will design a brand new imprint with the elements and instructions you provide. All update and rebuild requests, including all supporting text and graphic materials, must be submitted by the August 28 order deadline. After that date, you’ll be responsible for your own design support.

When you make your print catalog order below, keep in mind the coordinated series of digital newsletters you’ll want to add to your campaign mix. If you did not take advantage last year, newsletter notes and contact info can by found below this order form.

Campaign Extras/Email Newsletter Signup

PNBA will provide custom campaign posters, downloadable bookmarks for flagging catalog titles on your shelves as well as online and social media ads.

The 24-page catalog will be available to integrate with IndieCommerce, to post on store sites, and to view via pnba.org and NWBookLovers.org.

Coordinated newsletter support: Catalog titles will be arranged across five digital newsletters to be disseminated to your store lists in November and early December. Newsletters will feature your store header and content will link to your store site and social media pages. Buy buttons can link directly to your e-commerce.

Our newsletter management partners at Shelf Awareness will secure your list in a dedicated application and automatically send each catalog volume for you, using advanced email newsletter practices. Your list stays locked unless The Shelf is sending your store-branded holiday catalog to your customers.

View a sample newsletter and see just how easy it is to add this punch to your campaign. Once you've ordered your print quantity from PNBA, get set up through this simple form or contact The Shelf if you have any questions regarding the sales-boosting Give Books guide newsletters.
