The Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association is a nonprofit trade association representing the interests of literacy, free speech and independent bookselling in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. Membership in PNBA is appropriate and encouraged for these institutions and individuals:

- Bookstore, represented by an owner or manager member contact
- Library, institutional and individual representative memberships welcome
- Publisher, sales rep, or distributor
- Producer of sideline items
- Author, reviewer, or other industry professional
- Prospective bookseller in process of establishing a new store

A Note for Prospective Booksellers:
A Prospective Bookseller Membership lasts for one year. Please consider Membership once you have secured your store location or are in the process of securing your store location so that you can make the most of your membership. For many booksellers, this means you are actively discussing or pursuing your location’s lease or purchase. This can be slightly different for mobile / pop-ups / online stores, but it’s important for your business to have a physical address so you can receive certain assets.

Know you'll be renewing membership soon, but want to help someone renew membership or become a member for the first time this season? Give the Gift of Membership! Let us know a few details via email. We'll provide a special form you can submit along with payment. Then we'll contact the member to let them know of your (or a Secret Santa's) generosity.
Memberships run January 1 - December 31. Memberships purchased post-Tradeshow through December are valid for the following year.
Bookseller, Library, & PNW Regional Publisher Memberships are registered by business address and apply to all employees.
All other memberships are attributed to individuals and some benefits do not extend to staff.
