Beyond Your Bubble: How to Connect Across the Political Divide, Skills and Strategies for Conversations That Work

This practical, politically neutral book offers concrete skills for holding meaningful conversations that cut across today's intense political divide, showing readers how to connect to the people in their lives.

Tania Israel is a Professor in the Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association.

Beyond Your Bubble grew out of the workshop Dr. Israel developed and delivered to hundreds of participants following the 2016 election. The content and delivery draw on her strengths as a psychologist and community organizer to prepare people to engage in dialogue across political lines.

Beyond Your Bubble is a Gift feature in the 2020 Give Books catalog.
