What to do, and where to eat and drink in Spokane

The last time PNBA was in Spokane for a Fall Tradeshow was in 1999.

A lot has changed since then.

Spokane is a hub of literary activity--the home of university programs, a fabulous library system, and the home and inspiration for numerous authors. We'll celebrate that Saturday, September 27, in a special pre-show event called the Lilac City Welcoming Committee. Part I will include five local authors in an event that is also open to the public, to be held at the downtown branch of the Spokane Public Library. Part II, open only to PNBA attendees, will be a special reception held at iconic PNBA-member store Auntie's. Altogether we'll celebrate Spokane as Spokane welcomes PNBA back.

Spokane also has a vibrant food and beverage scene. Some friends of PNBA have offered suggestions of where to eat and drink near the show hotel. HERE is their list. Spokane's tourist agency Visit Spokane has also made sure that we have resources to share with attendees. They will have resources onsite, but also wanted to make sure we shared their website. See especially their guide to visiting Spokane in the Fall, and their Guide to Food and Drink. And don't forget to check out Jess Walters' tips for visiting Spokane!

The airport is modern, public transit works (including a route from the airport downtown), and the Convention Center (where we will be for two days) is state of the art.

It is going to be a great time. Come join us!
