the Central Spokane Library's incredible event space.

Emcee: Sharma Shields | Spokane Public Library Sharma Shields is the author of a short story collection, Favorite Monster, and three novels, The Sasquatch Hunter’s Almanac. The Cassandra, and Duckling (forthcoming from Henry Holt in 2027) . Sharma’s fiction and essays have appeared in The New York Times, Electric Lit, Catapult, Slate, and elsewhere and have garnered such accolades as the PNBA Award, an Artist Trust Fellowship, and the Washington State Book Award. Sharma has worked in independent bookstores and public libraries throughout Washington State and is currently the Writing Education Specialist for Spokane Public Library and the Chair for Spokane Is Reading.
