Local Authors and You: How to Partner for Success

There can be a lot lost in translation between an Indie Author and Indie Bookstore. Learn a bit more about what an author goes through before they bring their book pitch to your store, and what resources to have on hand for when it happens. Our panel of veteran booksellers, publishing, and marketing professionals will walk you through the recent changes in the publishing landscape and what to expect from your local authors, as well as what they can reasonably expect from you, their local bookstore. Consignment contracts, author event expectations, and more will be explored.

Oh My Goodness! Now What?!?

These unprecedented times have us seeking balance for how to respond safely and effectively to unforeseen circumstances.  While this discussion will be broad-based, we will draw our attention to problem-solving as we are reminded of what we can control and that there are incredible people on our team.  Additionally, our own selfcare will enhance our skill-sets, our outlooks, as well as our capacity to engage and respond to the challenges around us.
