Give Books Holiday Catalog
The Give Books marketing campaign, generally referred to as the holiday catalog, is available at no cost to PNBA member stores. We print them for you, and if you make insertion arrangements with your local paper or other distribution plans with a local outlet, we'll even ship them your catalogs for free!
For newspaper orders of 5,000 or greater, we'll brand your catalogs with your store logo, information, coupons and deals—you decide. And it gets even better—send us a copy of your insertion invoice and we'll reimburse your distribution costs up to 50%, with a cap of 4¢ per catalog. All you need to do to claim your reimbursement is to provide copies of your insertion invoices by the mid-Jan. deadline. Documentation provided past the deadline but prior to March 1 will result in a stipend max of 3¢.
PNBA’s catalog printer is also now offering local “bundle cap” distribution of the Give Books guide. Also known as simplified address mailing or saturation mailing, bundle capping takes a specially prepared version of your store imprint, addressed to “Local Postal Customer” and arranges with your local post office to distribute catalogs to all addresses residing within a particular postal code or codes. You decide the code and max quantity you want distributed. Stores will be responsible for 14¢ per piece, with PNBA picking up the remaining 7¢. PNBA will pay to have your catalogs delivered locally, saving you 5¢ per piece (the default rate being 26¢ for central USPS origination).
Stores are welcome to make traditional newspaper as well as saturation arrangements but will be responsible for providing two imprints. Size specs can be found on the order form.
In addition—yes, there’s more—when you make your print catalog order below, keep in mind the coordinated series of digital newsletters you’ll want to add to the mix! We’ll spin the content of the paper catalogs into five curated collections to reiterate the catalog to some and to reach many more who may not receive the physical product. And this year, those newsletters will link to the full catalog lineup, integrated with your e-commerce! That’s right, you can prompt customers to visit your imprinted digital catalog from Nov. 6 through the end of Dec.
Participation is free but requires a physical catalog distribution campaign. With that 5,000 minimum, your store logo and customer contact list, private and secure, is all it takes to add the newsletter and landing page.
The Give Books guide is produced to help you maximize sales during the holiday season, so put your stamp on this nationally supported and regionally nuanced bookselling campaign and put it to work for your store.
