The Great Summer Reading Guide
An Email and E-Commerce Promotion for Indies

The Great Summer Reading Guide is a Tri-West Collective effort from PNBA/CALIBA/MPIBA that introduces a selection of the season's fresh new titles to inspire a trip to their local store or a visit to their favorite indie's Great Summer Reading e-commerce landing page and eventual trip to the mailbox to collect their literary treasures. It's a win for the store and summer readers!

Program Basics:
  • A joint digital marketing program from CALIBA, MPIBA, and PNBA.
  • Promotional e-blast direct to 300,000+ indie bookstore customers across the entire western United States
  • E-blast directs customers to their favorite indie store’s Great Summer Reading Guide web page, featuring the full GSRG collection for the length of the summer!
  • Summer Reading Guide web pages feature “More Info” and “Buy Now” buttons for every title.
  • Extensive consumer facing social media outreach by bookstores and associations.
  • Extremely cost effective, just a fraction of a penny per impression for publishers.
  • The program is a completely free, turnkey marketing opportunity for indie bookstores.

Bookstores:  All it takes to opt-in is to provide our program partners at Shelf Awareness with your customer email list and store logo! (Customer lists are used only for the Great Summer Reading Guide and Give Books Holiday Catalog campaigns and are never shared or sold).
