The Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association is a
nonprofit trade association representing the interests of
literacy, free speech and independent bookselling in Alaska,
Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Our members include:
owners and managers of independent and chain bookstores;
publishers; publishers' sales representatives; distributors;
authors; publicists; librarians; book reviewers; producers
of sideline items; and other friends of the trade are
represented as associate (non-voting) members. We host a tradeshow each year in the fall. Our show is a great opportunity to network with and learn from a wide variety of people in the bookselling industry; to learn about new authors and forthcoming titles; and to take advantage of FREE education sessions for booksellers, publishers and authors. ~ Online Member Handbook/Directory, which contains contact info for all members ~ Discounted tradeshow exhibitor fees/free tradeshow attendance ~ FREE Educational workshops ~ FREE Holiday Catalogs for distribution in bookstores ~ A monthly e-newsletter, Footnotes, highlighting book industry issues in the Northwest ~ Annual Book Awards from publisher/bookseller submissions ~ Northwest New Title Preview Program ~ Bookseller mailing lists at a discounted price ~ Advertising opportunities in the newsletter, handbook, and holiday catalog ~ Pacific Northwest Independent Bestseller List e-mailed weekly ~ Memberships run from Jan. to Dec.
