PNBA Mary Finnigan Scholarship Application 2003 Mary Finnigan was a book buyer at Oregon State University Bookstore in Corvallis, Oregon. Her committed and creative bookselling was an example for many of us. In the 1970s Mary helped establish the PNBA Tradeshows. It is her enthusiasm for bookselling that we honor with these scholarships.

Employees of member stores are encouraged to apply for the Mary Finnigan Scholarship to attend the PNBA Spring Tradeshow in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho March 14-16, 2003. These scholarships are designed to allow booksellers an opportunity to participate in the educational programs and to share the excitement and enthusiasm of an industry trade show. The money will be distributed to winning applicants as reimbursement for travel, meals and lodging.

To be eligible, applicants need to be:
1. Employed at least 30 hours a week in a bookstore that is a 2003 member of PNBA
2. 21 years of age or older
3. Committed to a full-time career as a bookseller

To apply, include:
1. A completed application (keep a copy for yourself)
2. A brief essay (less than one page) on what you hope to gain from attending. Please do not write your name or your store name on this page.
3. Two references who can recommend your work, with phone numbers

After the show:
1. Write a short explaination of explaining the value of your show attendance
2. Send your receipts,letter and reimbursement request to PNBA by March 31, 2003.
