Literacy Grant Requirements • Grant applicants must be a current PNBA member bookstore. • A 'donation' is defined as books, merchandise, or money given to a literary organization in a PNBA member state. • A discount given on a purchase does not qualify as a donation. • Stores may apply for one grant, up to $250 per show. • Proof of donation must accompany form. Proof of donation may be a cancelled check, signed receipt or invoice, or letter of acknowledgement from literacy organization. A literacy program is defined as any project conducted by a not-for-profit organization for the purpose of teaching or encouraging reading. March 12, 2004.
