2021 Fall Show COVID-19 Protocols
PNBA will comply with any state mandated COVID protocols in force at the time of the show. We ask that all show participants without religious or health exemptions be vaccinated for COVID-19.
In addition to our previously announced COVID protocols, we have updated our waiver agreement to require all attendees supply proof of vaccination to obtain a show badge.
Vaccination exceptions will be allowed only for federally recognized medical or religious exemptions. A personal risk waiver will supplant vaccination proof in cases of protected exemption.
Space and Capacity:
PNBA has expanded physical event spaces wherever possible and has limited participation on all fronts. Author participation at non-podium events has been capped at 75% of event standard. Member attendance is also set for 75%. The Exhibits floor will be populated with no more than 75% of traditional booth and table capacity. These coordinated efforts will result in a significant increase of “air space” at show events.
Author Comfort and Safety:
Currenlty masks are required for indoor events in the State of Oregon. Should that mandate change before the show, table signage will be provided for any author wishing to request attendees wear masks in their signing line. Pre-signing is already customary for all keynote events.
The Red Lion will provide hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility and PNBA is bringing additional stations for concentrated activity spaces such as registration and ticket taking lines. PNBA will also have a supply of masks at registration and at each event.
PNBA is requiring every attendee without a medical or religious restriction to produce proof of vaccination before they can obtain a badge for the show.
