Dear PNBA Members:

I have been a member of PNBA sine 1995 and since then, have dealt with the many changes to our industry. One thing remains true, booksellers are a devoted and determined group. We have all faced the challenges of a struggling economy, online giants, and electronic format readers. We have come up with fresh, creative ideas in order to stay viable in the business we have great passion for. Unfortunately, passion is not enough to pay the bills and that is where a trade association like PNBA comes in as a valuable tool. As a trade association, PNBA is there to provide support to it's members.

What bookseller has not come away from the Fall Tradeshow without at least one new idea?
Whether a great sideline, or a new author, or an innovative event for their store. I know my notebook is full of notes from the many education sessions and the Reps Pick of the Lists. I leave energized for the Holidays.

Speaking of Holidays, we have what I consider the best Holiday Catalog of all regional catalogs. This catalog is produced for the sole purpose of driving business into the participating members' stores. The catalog showcases regional as well as national titles. If you have never taken advantage of the Holiday Catalog program or have questions, call me and I will be happy to tell you what inserting the Catalog into my local paper has done for my sales.
