Promote Your Spring Titles in the Great Northwest

In 2008 PNBA launched Leafing Out to increase spring sales for publishers and PNBA member stores. Leafing Out is inspired by the PNBA Holiday Catalog, an established and proven sales tool for both publishers and stores. Without a spring show in the Northwest--signing and speaking opportunities for authors, show floor exposure for reps--it was imperative we make available new ways to market spring and summer authors and titles to PNBA members. Leafing Out is the most ambitious of these opportunities.
For most of our booksellers, the Holiday Catalog has traditionally been, not just the most significant marketing campaign of the year, but the only one. An opportunity to reach out to their communities with a similarly designed program at a second time of year was embraced from the start. PNBA stores distributed nearly half a million copies of Leafing Out in their communities in 2008.
Books with regional appeal, gifts for moms, grads, dads, inspiration for the garden, activities to keep the kids busy when school lets out, the surefire hit of the season, the hidden gem; Leafing Out is the right place to commit that extra promotional push for your spring titles in the Great Northwest.
Flip through your catalogs, confer with your rep and pick my brain--if I have your catalog on hand, I have surely flagged my odds-on favorites for success. It all has to be in place by February 11th, when production begins--and, space sold out last year--so don't push your decisions too far into the new year.
